Kano State Deputy Governor, Comrade Aminu Abdussalam Gwarzo, has felicitated with Muslims in the state and across Nigeria as they mark this year’s Eid el-Kabir, urging them to embrace the spirit of sacrifice, prayer, and peaceful coexistence.

In a Sallah message issued on Friday and signed by his Press Secretary, Ibrahim Garba Shuaibu, the Deputy Governor described the festival as a profound reminder of devotion, obedience, and submission to the will of Allah.

Gwarzo encouraged the Muslim Ummah to use the festive period as an opportunity for sober reflection and to offer prayers for the peace, unity, and stability of the country.

He emphasized the significance of tolerance and mutual respect, particularly in a diverse society like Nigeria.

“Eid el-Kabir symbolizes the virtues of sacrifice and obedience exemplified by Prophet Ibrahim. It is a time for deep reflection on our responsibilities as individuals and citizens. I urge all Muslims to remain steadfast in their faith and uphold the values that promote harmony and progress,” he stated.

The Deputy Governor also extended his warm greetings to the Kano State Governor, Alhaji Abba Kabir Yusuf, and the National Leader of the New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP), Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso.

He commended their leadership and dedication to the advancement of the state, describing them as “true visionaries committed to public service and the betterment of Kano.”

In the message, Comrade Gwarzo congratulated Kano pilgrims performing the Hajj in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, praying for the acceptance of their acts of worship and their safe return home.

While reaffirming the commitment of the Yusuf-led administration to good governance, he assured citizens of ongoing efforts to implement policies anchored on transparency, accountability, and sustainable development.

“As a government, we remain focused on delivering people-centered programmes and ensuring that Kano State continues on the path of growth and prosperity,” he said.

He further urged parents and guardians to be vigilant in guiding their children during the celebrations, stressing the need to shield young people from negative influences and to promote sound moral values.

The Deputy Governor wished all Muslim faithful a peaceful and joyous Eid el-Kabir celebration.
