The Kano State Deputy Governor, Aminu Abdussalam Gwarzo, has congratulated Muslims in the state, across Nigeria, and globally on the occasion of Maulud Nabbiy, urging them to use the celebration to pray for peace and security in the country.
Gwarzo, in a statement on Friday by his spokesperson, Ibrahim Garba Shuaibu, described the Maulud as a moment for spiritual reflection, renewal of faith, and recommitment to the noble teachings and exemplary character of Prophet Muhammad (SAW).
He noted that the Prophet’s teachings of peace, justice, tolerance, and love for one’s neighbor remained relevant in addressing the challenges confronting the nation.
The deputy governor urged Muslim faithful to pray for divine intervention in tackling insecurity in some northern states and the country at large, stressing that defeating criminal activities required unity of purpose and collective support.
He reaffirmed the state government’s commitment under Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf to fostering unity among citizens irrespective of religious or ethnic differences.
While wishing Muslims a blessed and spiritually rewarding Maulud celebration, Gwarzo prayed that the occasion would bring renewed hope, peace, and blessings to Kano State and Nigeria.
