The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) aspirant for the House of Representatives seat representing Nassarawa Federal Constituency in Kano State, Muhammad Yusuf Gama, has pledged to make the provision of potable water and the eradication of water scarcity his top priority if elected.
Speaking during an interaction with journalists, Gama, a young and popular politician, said access to clean and adequate water remains a major challenge facing residents of the constituency and deserves urgent attention.
According to him, addressing the water supply problem would significantly improve the living conditions of the people and support socio-economic development across the constituency.
The aspirant also promised to prioritize youth and women empowerment through regular training programmes and skills acquisition initiatives aimed at equipping beneficiaries with various trades that would have a positive impact on their lives and the wider society.
“I will ensure regular empowerment programmes for our women and youths by providing them with opportunities to learn important trades and skills that will enable them to become self-reliant and contribute meaningfully to society,” he said.
Gama further assured constituents that he would work towards improving electricity supply in the area, noting that enhanced power supply would help revive industrial activities, particularly in Bompai and along Hadejia Road.
He explained that the revival of industries in these areas would create employment opportunities for young people and stimulate economic growth within the constituency.
The PDP aspirant therefore appealed to the electorate to carefully assess the character, competence and commitment of candidates before casting their votes in future elections.
He emphasized that leadership should be entrusted to individuals with genuine concern for the welfare and development of the people.
