The Governor of Yobe State, Hon. Mai Mala Buni has approved the employment of 424 health professionals to be deployed across health facilities in the state.
Contained in a statement issued by Mamman Mohammad, the Director-General of Press and Media Affairs to the Governor, disclosed that the governor approved the hiring of 205 nurses and midwives who recently graduated from the state-owned Shehu Sule College of Nursing and Midwifery.
Additionally, the governor approved the employment of 219 health technicians, specializing in various fields, to meet the professional needs of hospitals across the state.
The newly employed health workers will be deployed in both rural and urban areas to provide efficient services to the people of Yobe State.
Governor Buni emphasized that this initiative aligns with his administration’s policy of providing accessible and affordable healthcare to all residents.
He urged the newly employed staff to remain dedicated to their duties, ensuring they fulfill the government’s investment and the confidence placed in them.
The Governor reassured that healthcare delivery would remain a top priority for his administration. He further pledged that the government would continue to equip hospitals with necessary facilities, medical supplies, and qualified personnel to enhance healthcare services across the state.
