From Joseph Asegba, Yola
A Senior Special Assistant (SSA) on information and strategy to Gov Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri has denied the claim by a socio-political group, Adamawa Unity Forum, AUF, pointing accusing fingers at the Governor for using state resources to sponsor and organise the Gongola people’s forum (GPF) recently.
The University Don and other sundry allegations against Fintiri washed down AUF and described the group as a group afraid of their own shadow.
He described their allegations as baselessness without substance, baseless and mischievous it should not be considered as issues of discussion.
A one-time Commissioner Information reiterated that the so-called group are good at cooking up blatant lies and their display of political desperation, misinformation and casting aspersions will not see the light of the day.
He such lies they should distance Fintiri from all their gimmicks and describe him as a successful Governor who is bent and focused on bringing development to the state
“The Office of the Adviser to Governor Fintiri wishes to categorically deny and distance itself from the baseless and mischievous accusations made by the so-called Adamawa Unity Forum.
“The Forum’s statement is a blatant display of political desperation and misinformation, aimed at casting aspersions on the Governor’s well-known commitment to unity and peace.
“Governor Fintiri has always been a champion of inclusively and respect for all ethnicities and groups in Adamawa State. He believes in the strength of diversity and has consistently worked towards building a harmonious and peaceful society, he said.
“We condemn the cheap political gimmicks and mischief of the Adamawa Unity Forum and their ilk, who are afraid of their shadows and seek to divide the people of Adamawa State for their selfish interests.
While frowning at their position said, “We urge the good people of Adamawa State to ignore the false and misleading narratives being peddled by these desperados and continue to support Governor Fintiri’s noble efforts to build a united and prosperous state for all.”
