Governor,Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang of Plateau State has expressed profound gratitude to the Berom nation for their unwavering commitment to peace and unity and commending their exemplary leadership during challenging periods in the state.

Disclosing this on Monday during a courtesy visit by the leadership of the Berom Educational and Cultural Organization (BECO) and illustrious sons and daughters of the Berom Nation at Government House, Little Rayfield, Jos.

While emphasizing the critical importance of peaceful coexistence and intra-ethnic unity among various ethnic groups within the state, and said they have a pivotal role in preserving the unity and harmony of the State and urged citizens to remain vigilant against divisive forces seeking to exploit the state for personal gains.

The Governor reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to participatory and inclusive governance, adding that his administration was working round the clock to bolster security measures aimed at preempting potential sources of unrest within the state.

Governor Mutfwang outlined key policy initiatives, including the repatriation of Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) to their ancestral homes and the reclamation of unlawfully acquired land, as pivotal steps towards consolidating peace and progress in Plateau State.

He pledged to prioritize economic empowerment initiatives aimed at alleviating poverty across all communities by harnessing the state’s abundant natural mineral resources.

He further underscored his commitment to equitable distribution of agricultural inputs by ensuring that only genuine farmers get the support.

While expressing gratitude for the Berom nation’s steadfast support during his electoral campaign, and acknowledged their instrumental role in securing his overwhelming victory.

He pledged continued collaboration towards advancing the collective interests of Plateau State.

Speaking earlier the President of the Berom Educational and Cultural Organization (BECO) worldwide, Da. Gyang Dudu Dalyop, said the Berom nation was in the government house to convey their appreciation for the show of love and support accorded to them by Governor Mutfwang during the recent celebration of the 2024 Nzem Berom.

He also thanked the Governor for the inclusive approach to administering affairs of the state.and for appointing BEROM sons and daughters into key positions in his administration.

The BECO President urged the Governor to leverage the appointments for the greater good and prosperity of Plateau State.

Da. Dudu further lauded Governor Mutfwang’s administration for prioritizing the welfare of Plateau’s citizens, saying that he has demonstrated commitment to fight insecurity coupled with the introduction of the Tin City Metro Buses, massive road construction and rehabilitation citing commendable efforts in infrastructure development.

He appealed to the Governor to beam his search light on education, health, drug abuse and unemployment in order to provide quality life for the teeming youths of the state.
