The Kaduna State Government is poised to commission the Panbegua campus of the Kaduna State College of Nursing and Midwifery, marking a significant milestone in enhancing health education in the state.

Speaking with Journalists in Kaduna A Dr. Yusuf Bello, who is the Provost of the college, the Panbegua campus has secured accreditation from the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria, thanks to the current administration’s commitment to completing critical infrastructure within the campus.

The campus is set to admit 120 students for the 2024/2025 academic session, offering National Diploma (ND) and Higher National Diploma (HND) programs in Nursing. The National Board for Technical Education (NBTE) has also approved the college to run general nursing and basic midwifery programs across all three campuses.

Dr. Bello expressed gratitude to Governor Uba Sani for his support in ensuring the completion and accreditation of the campus. He emphasized that all campuses are now fully accredited and prepared to deliver quality healthcare education.

Community leaders, including Safiyanu Umar Usman, District Head of Panbegua, and Alhaji Haruna Ahmad, Chairman of the Committee for the College of Nursing and Midwifery in Panbegua, also commended the government and the community for their contributions to the campus’s development.

The commissioning of the Panbegua campus is expected to enhance healthcare education in Kaduna State and provide more opportunities for students to pursue careers in nursing and midwifery.
