Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf of Kano State has condoled with the families of the late Alhaji Haruna Dan’Asabe of Getso town in Gwarzo local government, who died some days ago.
In a statement by the governor’s Spokesperson, Sanusi Bature Dawakin Tofa said Governor Yusuf mourned the death of an influential community figure, a businessman and a renowned farmer.
The governor appreciated the efforts of the late Alhaji Getso towards the development of the Gwarzo community, who inspired and supported many who prosper in farming and business.
Governor Yusuf prayed to Almighty Allah, the most exalted to grant the soul of the deceased eternal rest, Jannatul Firdausi be his final abode, and grant his family the fortitude to bear the loss.
Aged 83, Getso died last week after an illness and is survived by a wife,15 children and many grandchildren.
Among his children is Alhaji Kabiru Getso Haruna, Executive Secretary of the Kano State Scholarship Board.
