Kano State Governor, Abba Kabir Yusuf, has congratulated the Government and people of France on the country’s National Day, expressing the state’s readiness to deepen cooperation with France in critical areas of development.

The governor made the remarks during an interactive session held at the French Embassy in Abuja to mark the celebration.

He was accompanied by a delegation of senior officials from the Kano State Government.

In a statement issued by his spokesperson, Sunusi Bature Dawakin Tofa, Governor Yusuf conveyed his goodwill message to the French Ambassador to Nigeria, His Excellency Marc Fonbaustier, wishing France continued peace, prosperity and progress.

Governor Yusuf described the relationship between Nigeria and France as a long-standing partnership built on mutual respect, cooperation and shared commitment to development.

He called for increased collaboration between Kano State and the French Government, particularly in the areas of agriculture, renewable energy, water resources management, environmental sustainability and education.

According to him, Kano remains committed to engaging international partners to attract investments, improve public services and promote economic growth for the benefit of its citizens.

The governor expressed optimism that stronger ties with France would create new opportunities for innovation, technology transfer and sustainable development in Kano State.
