Former Kano State Commissioner for Transportation, former Commissioner for Project Monitoring and Evaluation, and incoming Commissioner, Hon. Ibrahim Ali Namadi Dala, has commended Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf for what he described as remarkable achievements that have transformed Kano State across key sectors within three years of his administration.

Speaking in an interview with Government House journalists, Namadi Dala congratulated Governor Yusuf on the administration’s accomplishments, noting that the governor has significantly transformed the state’s development landscape through strategic investments and people-oriented policies.

According to him, the governor has remained committed to fulfilling the promises made during the electioneering campaign, resulting in substantial progress in infrastructure, education, healthcare, transportation, agriculture, water supply, youth empowerment, and other critical sectors.

He revealed that during his tenure as Commissioner for Project Monitoring and Evaluation, the ministry monitored more than 2,000 projects executed by the state government across various parts of Kano, reflecting the administration’s commitment to delivering the dividends of democracy to the people.

“The achievements recorded by this administration are visible across the state.

“Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf has demonstrated exemplary leadership and dedication to the welfare of the people.

“The numerous projects executed in different sectors are clear evidence of his commitment to the development of Kano State,” he said.

Namadi Dala also highlighted the progress recorded in the transportation sector during his tenure as Commissioner for Transportation, stressing that several landmark projects were implemented through collaborations between the Kano State Government and the Federal Government.

He expressed optimism about the future of Kano, stating that with the pace of ongoing development, the state is steadily positioning itself as one of Africa’s leading commercial and economic hubs.

“Looking at the level of development taking place in Kano, I believe the state is on a path to becoming comparable to some of the world’s most modern cities in the near future,” he added.

On national politics, Namadi Dala praised the developmental initiatives being implemented by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, saying that the reforms and programmes introduced by the Federal Government are gradually yielding positive results across the country.

He expressed confidence that the achievements of President Tinubu’s administration, combined with the growing popularity of Governor Yusuf in Kano, would contribute significantly to the electoral success of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in future elections.

The APC stalwart further assured party supporters that he would continue to play an active role in mobilising grassroots support for the party, drawing on his vast political experience and track record in election management.

Namadi Dala recalled his role as a campaign director during previous elections, saying that the overwhelming support enjoyed by the APC in Kano remains intact due to the strong relationship between the party and the people.

“As politicians who emerged from the grassroots, we understand the aspirations of the people. The love and support that the people of Kano have for the APC and Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf are tremendous.

“We have maintained close contact with the people, and there is no disconnect between us and the electorate,” he stated.

He pledged to continue contributing his quota toward strengthening the party’s structures, mobilising supporters, and ensuring successful outcomes in future elections both in Kano State and across the country.

Namadi Dala therefore called on party members and the people of Kano State to sustain their support for ongoing development initiatives, expressing confidence that greater achievements lie ahead under the current leadership.
