The Nigerian Schools Sports Federation (NSSF) has organized a basketball clinic for players and coaches to enhance their technical knowledge of the game.

The clinic, held at the indoor sports hall of the Sani Abacha Sports Complex, Kofar Mata, was facilitated by top NSSF officials, Zone 3 FIBA President Colonel Samuel Amedu, and representatives from participating states.

Speaking to journalists, NSSF President Olabisi Joseph—represented by the Federation’s Public Relations Officer, Sagir Sani—explained that the aim of the clinic was to highlight recent rule changes in basketball and improve understanding among participants.

She emphasized the Federation’s commitment to improving the quality of the game and reducing conflicts before, during, and after matches. She noted that the clinic would go a long way in equipping both players and coaches with a deeper understanding of basketball laws.

Appreciating the participating states for their support, Joseph assured that NSSF would continue to introduce more programs to achieve its developmental goals.

The event featured paper presentations by resource persons and practical demonstrations of the updated basketball rules.
