The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Plateau State has declared that its internal crisis is over following the resolution of disputes that arose after a faction of the party conducted a parallel congress to elect another state executive committee after the official congress.

The recognized Chairman of the party’s State Executive Committee, Hon. Raymond Dabo, disclosed that the PDP had now put its differences behind it and would resume full political activities this week with a series of strategic meetings.

Hon. Dabo made this known while speaking with journalists at a wedding ceremony in Bokkos Local Government Area of Plateau State.

According to him, the party is fully prepared and confident of recording a landslide victory if elections were conducted today.

“The PDP’s internal crisis is now history. We have put the problem behind us. By Monday, we will hold the State Working Committee meeting, Tuesday is EXCO, and Wednesday is SEC. After that, we are good to go,” he said.

He expressed strong confidence in the PDP’s dominance in Plateau politics, insisting that the party remains deeply rooted in the state.

“APC has never been a real threat here. The DNA of a Plateau man is PDP. If there is an election tomorrow, I can guarantee that PDP will produce all three senators, five of the eight House of Representatives members, and 18 of the 23 House of Assembly seats.

“If it waits until February, we will clear every seat,” Dabo stated.

He further noted that once the scheduled meetings are concluded, the party would immediately commence mobilization efforts across the state ahead of future elections.

Speaking on the wedding ceremony, Hon. Dabo congratulated the couple and described marriage as “a divine adventure” that thrives on tolerance, forgiveness, communication, and prayer.
