The Plateau State University, Bokkos, has approved disciplinary measures against 76 students found guilty of examination malpractice.

The decision was taken by the university’s Senate during its 102nd regular meeting, according to a statement issued on Tuesday by the institution’s Public Relations Officer, Ngwen Jacob.

“The offences ranged from smuggling unauthorised materials into examination halls to impersonation, all in violation of the university’s regulations as outlined in the Students’ Handbook,” the statement read.

The sanctions include rustication for one academic session, compulsory carryover of affected courses and expulsion in severe cases.

The meeting was chaired by the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic), Moses Pyefa Galadima, on behalf of the Vice-Chancellor, Shadrach Gaya Best.
