The Yobe State Government has approved the appointment of Ibrahim Baba Saleh as Media Coordinator and Liaison Officer in the Office of the Secretary to the State Government (SSG), in a move aimed at strengthening government communication and public engagement.
The appointment was approved by the Executive Governor of Yobe State, Hon. Mai Mala Buni, CON, COMN, and conveyed through an official letter issued by the Ministry of Home Affairs, Information and Culture.
The letter was signed by the Permanent Secretary, Hajiya Salamatu Yahaya Nangere, on behalf of the Honourable Commissioner.
According to the letter, the appointment takes immediate effect and recognises Ibrahim Baba Saleh’s dedication, professionalism, extensive experience, and unwavering commitment to effective public communication and information management in Yobe State.
In his new role, Baba Saleh will serve as the official spokesperson for the Office of the Secretary to the State Government.
His responsibilities include coordinating media and public engagement activities, facilitating strategic communication initiatives, and strengthening liaison between the Office of the SSG and media organisations.
The appointment underscores the administration’s commitment to enhancing transparency, improving information dissemination, and fostering stronger engagement between the government and the people.
The Yobe State Government expressed confidence that Ibrahim Baba Saleh’s wealth of experience, communication expertise, and professional competence will significantly advance the administration’s communication objectives while effectively projecting its policies, programmes, and achievements to the public.
