A stakeholders’ meeting of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Sandamu Local Government Area of Katsina State has endorsed Yusuf Buhari, son of the late President Muhammadu Buhari, as the party’s sole candidate for the Daura/Sandamu/Mai’adua Federal Constituency.
The endorsement followed a meeting held at the secretariat of the Sandamu Local Government, attended by all elected officials and political appointees from the area.
Speaking at the meeting, the chairman of the council area, Usman Na Lado, said the endorsement of Yusuf Buhari was a unanimous decision based on merit.
Na Lado added that the meeting also endorsed Bola Tinubu and Governor Dikko Umar Radda as sole candidates for the presidency and governorship positions, respectively.
He further stated that the meeting endorsed the Speaker of the State House of Assembly, Nasiru Yahaya Daura, for the Daura Senatorial seat.
Na Lado said he would campaign for the election of all endorsed party candidates in 2027.
He directed party members to reach out to voters at all levels, from polling units to the local government, to canvass support for the party’s victory.
“We have directed all party members to reach out to the people, from the polling unit to the local government level, to canvass for support to ensure APC’s victory in 2027,” he said.
Na Lado also commended party members from Mai’adua and Daura for aligning with the position taken by APC stakeholders in Sandamu.
