As part of ongoing efforts to strengthen the urban renewal project in Kano State, Governor Alhaji Abba Kabir Yusuf has flagged off the reconstruction of the 3.6-kilometer Zungeru Road in the Sabon-Gari area of Fagge Local Government.
The project was initially awarded during the second tenure of Senator Rabi’u Musa Kwankwaso but was later abandoned by the previous administration.
This development was disclosed in a statement issued on Tuesday by the Governor’s Chief Press Secretary, Mustapha Muhammad.
In his address, Governor Yusuf described the project as a demonstration of his administration’s commitment to delivering critical infrastructure aimed at improving the lives of Kano residents.
“Kano, as an emerging mega city, deserves high-quality road networks. Our government is committed to executing key developmental projects that will enhance the lives of our people,” the Governor stated.
He urged the contractor to ensure the timely completion of the project and to strictly adhere to all stipulated rules and guidelines. Governor Yusuf also assured contractors of prompt payment for all completed projects across the state.
The Governor expressed gratitude to the Sabon-Gari community for their unwavering support and cooperation, encouraging them to maintain the momentum for the continued socioeconomic development of Kano State.
