Kano State Governor, Alhaji Abba Kabir Yusuf alongside his deputy Comrade Aminu Abdulsalam Gwarzo has joined hundreds of people who attended the funeral prayer (Jana’iza) of his Special Adviser on Infrastructure, Engr. Ibrahim Ibrahim Sisi.
The funeral prayer, which was presided over by Wazirin Kano, Alhaji Sa’ad Shehu Gidado, was conducted at the Kano Emir’s Palace on Tuesday.
A statement issued by the Governor’s Chief Press Secretary, Mustapha Muhammad, said Governor Yusuf was shocked and devastated by the passing away of Engr. Sisi.
According to the statement, Engr. Sisi was a close childhood friend of the Governor who grew up with sound character and integrity.
The Governor said the deceased left a vacuum that would be hard to replace considering his expertise and dedication in supporting the present administration’s programmes to strengthen governance and drive infrastructural development across the state.
He prayed to God Almighty to forgive his shortcomings and grant him abode in the Highest Paradise (Jannatul Firdaus).
Late Engr. Sisi was appointed as Special Adviser on Infrastructure on Saturday, July 5, 2025.
