Barau FC teenager, Adamu Usaini is set to showcase his talent on the international stage as he prepares to participate in the NPFL U-19 Youths Tournament scheduled to take place in Belgium next month.
The club’s Technical Adviser Eugene Agagbe, disclosed this during a media briefing following Barau FC impressive 2–1 victory over Remo Stars at the Sani Abacha Stadium, Kofar Mata.
Agagbe expressed confidence in the young player, popularly known as “Rooney,” describing him as disciplined, obedient and loyal with commendable character both on and off the pitch.
He noted that Adamu possesses the qualities needed to excel in the round leather game and attract international opportunities.
The tactician also assured fans and stakeholders that the youngster is capable of securing a lucrative deal in Europe through his participation in the competition.
Speaking on the team’s performance, Agagbe highlighted his achievement in steering Barau FC away from the relegation zone.
He explained that upon his arrival, the team was 19th on the league table but has now climbed to 9th position with 46 points.
He commended his players for their outstanding display, particularly during their Match Day 34 encounter and appreciated the club’s management and supporters for their unwavering support and cooperation.
The upcoming tournament is expected to provide a platform for young talents like Adamu Usaini to gain international exposure and further develop their football careers.
