Former Kano State Commissioner and prominent political figure from Dala Local Government, Hon.Ibrahim Namadi Dala has declared his unwavering commitment towards ensuring the re-election of Kano State Governor, Alhaji Abba Kabir Yusuf in the 2027 general elections.
Namadi Dala made the declaration during an interview with GIDA-GIDA Reporters shortly after a crucial reconciliation meeting involving aspirants seeking to contest for the House of Representatives seat in Dala Federal Constituency.
The meeting, convened by Governor Yusuf was aimed at fostering unity and strengthening political cooperation among party stakeholders ahead of future political engagements.
Speaking passionately during the interview, the former commissioner stated that he remains fully committed to supporting Governor Yusuf administration and political future, describing the governor as a leader whose style of governance has continued to inspire hope among ordinary citizens across Kano State.
According to him, the cordial relationship and mutual respect existing between him and Governor Yusuf remain one of the strongest pillars of his political loyalty and support.
“At this moment, I have nothing to say except gratitude to Almighty Allah for the healthy and cordial relationship between me and His Excellency, Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf,” he stated.
Namadi Dala further revealed that his admiration and loyalty to Governor Yusuf became even more evident during the governor political movement from the New Nigeria People Party (NNPP) to the All Progressives Congress (APC), stressing that he never hesitated to follow the governor politically.
“Wherever the Governor goes politically, that is where I belong. His political path remains my political path because of the confidence and trust I have in his leadership,” he declared.
The former commissioner described Governor Yusuf as a rare leader whose commitment to the welfare of the common people has distinguished him among contemporary political leaders in the country.
“Having a leader like Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf is a blessing and a major political advantage for the people of Kano State. Every ordinary citizen desires a leader who understands their struggles and genuinely works for their progress,” he added.
He assured party supporters and residents of Kano State that he would mobilise all available political structures, supporters and personal resources within his reach to ensure Governor Yusuf secures victory in the next governorship election.
“I will do everything humanly possible to contribute meaningfully towards ensuring that Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf records a massive victory in the 2027 elections, In Sha Allah,” Namadi Dala affirmed.
Reflecting on previous political challenges the former commissioner admitted that some past experiences involving certain political associates and contractors had taught him valuable lessons about trust, loyalty and political strategy.
He noted that the experience has strengthened his resolve and sharpened his political judgment in dealing with individuals around him, especially those he described as political opportunists and betrayers.
“What happened in the past has become a lesson for me. It has helped me understand the kind of people to avoid and the kind of political decisions that must be taken carefully in the future,” he explained.
Namadi Dala also reaffirmed his determination to remain active in politics and continue contesting for elective positions in order to further contribute to the development of Dala Local Government, Kano State and Nigeria at large.
He stressed that his political ambition is driven not by personal interest alone, but by a deep desire to serve humanity and positively impact the lives of the people.
Political observers believe the reconciliation meeting and Namadi Dala’s public declaration of loyalty may further consolidate Governor Yusuf political influence in Kano ahead of the 2027 elections, particularly within the strategic Dala axis, widely regarded as one of the most politically influential areas in the state.
