The Senator representing Plateau South Senatorial District and former Governor of Plateau State, Simon Bako Lalong, has rejoiced with his constituents, the people of Plateau State, and Muslims across Nigeria on the occasion of the Eid-el-Kabir celebration.
Senator Lalong described the festival as a period of reflection, sacrifice, obedience to God, and love for one another.
He urged the Muslim Ummah to continue upholding the virtues of peace, tolerance, unity, and compassion, as demonstrated by Prophet Ibrahim.
He appreciated the people of Plateau South Senatorial District and Plateau State for their continued support, prayers, and goodwill towards him over the years, assuring them of his commitment to providing quality representation and initiating projects and programmes that will positively impact their lives.
The Senator also called on citizens to continue working together for the peace, unity, and prosperity of Plateau South Senatorial District and Plateau State at large, stressing that development can only thrive in an atmosphere of harmony and mutual understanding.
Senator Lalong further expressed profound gratitude to members and supporters of the APC for the overwhelming support and confidence reposed in him during the recent party primaries, where he emerged victorious as the party’s candidate for Plateau South Senatorial District.
He said the support and prayers he received remain a source of encouragement and motivation for him to continue serving the people diligently and effectively.
He also expressed optimism that, with sustained unity and cooperation, the party would record greater success in the forthcoming general elections.
Senator Lalong wished Muslim faithful a peaceful and joyous Eid-el-Kabir celebration and prayed for continued peace, progress, and prosperity for Plateau State and Nigeria.
