The organisers of the Sarkin Sunusi II Polo Cup have commended sponsors and stakeholders for their contributions to the successful hosting of the tournament’s final match in Kano.
Speaking during the closing ceremony, the representative of the Chairman of the Organising Committee described the competition as a success, attributing the achievement to the support received from individuals, corporate organisations, and government institutions.
He particularly praised Parting Partners Company for sponsoring the event and financing several activities associated with the tournament.
According to him, the company’s sponsorship played a significant role in ensuring the smooth conduct of the competition while also providing an opportunity to promote its brand.
The committee representative noted that the organisers fulfilled their commitment to publicise the company’s products and services throughout the tournament.
As part of the closing ceremony, awards and prizes were presented to winners and outstanding participants in recognition of their achievements and contributions to the success of the competition.
A member of the organising committee, Bashir Dantata, also expressed appreciation to the Kano Emirate and the Kano State Government for their continued support towards the development of sports in the state.
He said the support and encouragement received from the traditional institution and government had contributed immensely to the growth of polo and other sporting activities in Kano.
Dantata further called for sustained collaboration among stakeholders to enhance sports development and youth engagement through sporting programmes.
He concluded by offering prayers for lasting peace, unity, and prosperity in Kano State and Nigeria as a whole.
