The Executive Chairman of Bichi Local Government Area, Hon. Hamza Sule Mai Fata, has reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to educational development by sponsoring academic awards for outstanding students of the College Demonstration School, Bichi.
The initiative, which recognized students who excelled during the second term examinations, saw prizes presented to those who emerged first, second and third in their respective classes as part of efforts to encourage hard work, discipline and academic excellence among learners.
Speaking on the significance of the gesture, stakeholders described the awards as a major boost to the education sector and a reflection of the chairman’s determination to invest in the future of young people across the local government.
According to school authorities, the beneficiaries were selected based on their exceptional academic performance during the previous academic term.
The awards were designed to motivate students to remain committed to their studies and strive for greater achievements.

Reacting to the initiative, the Principal of the Secondary Section of the College Demonstration School, Malam Musa Usman, commended the chairman for the intervention, describing it as a timely and commendable effort aimed at strengthening academic culture among students.
He said the awards would serve as motivation for learners to remain focused on their educational pursuits, while also encouraging others to work harder in order to attain similar recognition.

Meanwhile, the management of the College Demonstration School announced that arrangements for its 2026 Summer Programme have been approved by the Academic Board, adding that details regarding the commencement date will be communicated to students, parents and other stakeholders in due course.
