The Governor of Plateau State, Barr. Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang, has embarked on an inspection tour of the ongoing construction of the 61.55-kilometre Dokan Tofa–Ba’ap–Kurqwi Road, including the spur to Lardang–Bwall–Kwoor and Tim Road Section One, as well as additional works on the Jimbam–Dokan Kasuwa Road in Qua’an Pan Local Government Area of the state.
The road projects, which are among the key infrastructure initiatives of the Mutfwang administration, are designed to open up rural communities, enhance connectivity, facilitate the movement of people and goods, and stimulate economic growth and development across the area.
Community members, particularly women who turned out in large numbers to welcome the Governor, expressed appreciation for his commitment to fulfilling campaign promises through impactful infrastructure development.
They described the road projects as transformative interventions that would significantly improve livelihoods, boost agricultural productivity, and enhance access to essential services.
Speaking on behalf of the women, Mrs. Helen Ayuba commended Governor Mutfwang for his unwavering commitment to completing the projects and pledged the full cooperation of the communities toward their successful execution.
She assured the Governor of the support of the people and encouraged the contractor to expedite work to ensure the timely completion of the roads.
Governor Mutfwang expressed gratitude to the people for their steadfast support, goodwill, and confidence in his administration.
He reaffirmed his commitment to delivering quality infrastructure that addresses the needs of rural communities and drives inclusive development across the state.
The Governor assured residents that the projects would be completed and commissioned as scheduled, emphasizing that his administration remains focused on fulfilling its mandate of improving the lives of the people through strategic investments in infrastructure and social services.
He also urged community members to continue cooperating with contractors and government officials to ensure the smooth and timely completion of the projects.
Governor Mutfwang was accompanied on the inspection tour by the Secretary to the State Government, Arc. Samuel Nanchang Jatau; the Chief of Staff to the Governor, BLDR. Jeremiah Satmark; the Commissioner for Works, Hon. Joshua Ubandoma Laven, who led the Governor through the project sites; the Commissioner for Information and Communication, Rt. Hon. Joyce Ramnap; the Chairman of Qua’an Pan Local Government Council, Hon. Christopher Audu Manship; as well as other commissioners, government officials, and local government chairmen.
