Kano State Governor, Alhaji Abba Kabir Yusuf, has expressed deep sorrow over the death of elder statesman and renowned businessman, Alhaji Shehu Yahaya, describing his passing as a great loss to Kano State and Nigeria.
In a condolence message issued on Sunday by his spokesperson, Sunusi Bature Dawakin Tofa, Governor Yusuf described the late Alhaji Shehu Yahaya as a successful businessman whose life was defined by honesty, integrity, and unwavering service to humanity.
The governor said the deceased remained committed to the development of his Dakata Kawaji community in Nasarawa Local Government Area and worked tirelessly to promote peace and social progress throughout his lifetime
He noted that the late elder statesman left behind an enduring legacy of selfless service, exemplary leadership, and philanthropy.
“The passing of Alhaji Shehu Yahaya is a painful loss not only to his family but also to the entire people of Kano State.
“We have lost a father, a respected businessman, and a patriotic citizen whose contributions to humanity and society will continue to be remembered for generations,” Governor Yusuf said.
The governor prayed for Almighty Allah (SWT) to forgive the shortcomings of the deceased, grant him Aljannatul Firdaus, and give his family, loved ones, and the people of Kano State the strength to bear the irreparable loss.
Alhaji Shehu Yahaya is survived by many children, including Engineer Muhammad Shehu, a Senior Manager with Gerawa Group of Companies.
