Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf on Sunday hosted federal political appointees from Kano State and other leaders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) at the Government House Lodge in Asokoro, Abuja.
A statement issued on Monday by the Governor’s spokesperson, Sunusi Bature Dawakin Tofa, said the meeting was held under the auspices of the Tinubu Renewed Hope Appointees Forum, Kano State Chapter.
The gathering brought together key APC stakeholders to deliberate on the future of the party in Kano State ahead of the 2027 general elections.
At the meeting, the stakeholders unanimously passed a vote of confidence on President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, citing his commitment to the development of Kano State and the country.
They also pledged to mobilise support for President Tinubu and Vice President Kashim Shettima to secure a decisive victory for the APC in Kano during the 2027 presidential election.
The forum congratulated Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf and his deputy, Alhaji Murtala Sule Garo, on emerging as the APC governorship candidates for Kano State.
Participants reaffirmed their commitment to the implementation of President Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda and declared their support for Governor Yusuf’s Kano First Agenda.
They further resolved to work together to ensure the APC wins the presidential, governorship, National Assembly and State Assembly elections in Kano State in 2027.
The inaugural meeting was attended by former Kano State Governor and immediate past APC National Chairman, Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje; the Kano APC Chairman, Hon. Umar Haruna Doguwa; ministers, presidential aides, heads of federal agencies, chairmen of parastatals, board members and other federal political appointees from Kano State.
The communiqué issued at the end of the meeting was signed by Senator Basheer Lado, CON, Special Adviser to the President on National Assembly Matters (Senate) and Convener of the Tinubu Renewed Hope Appointees Forum, Kano State Chapter.
