The Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Festus Keyamo (SAN), and the Minister of Art, Culture, Tourism and Creative Economy, Barrister Hannatu Musa Musawa, have been confirmed as keynote speakers for the 9th National Tourism Transportation Summit and Expo (NTTSummit) 2026.
The announcement was made in Abuja by the National President of the Institute for Tourism Professionals of Nigeria (ITPN) and Chairman of the Inter-Ministerial Organising Committee, Chief Abiodun Odusanwo.
According to Odusanwo, the two-day summit, themed “Tourism and Transportation: Building Connectivity and Mobility for Sustainable Development,” will provide a strategic platform for policymakers, investors and industry leaders to discuss practical solutions for strengthening Nigeria’s tourism and transportation sectors.
He said the event will feature high-level panel discussions, business-to-business (B2B) and business-to-government (B2G) engagements, networking opportunities and exhibitions involving stakeholders from the aviation, maritime, rail, road transport, tourism and hospitality industries.
Scheduled for July 27–28, 2026, at the Nicon Luxury Hotel, Abuja, the summit is the flagship annual event of the Institute for Tourism Professionals of Nigeria (ITPN), organised in collaboration with relevant Ministries, Departments and Agencies.
Odusanwo noted that this year’s edition aims to develop actionable strategies for improving national connectivity and mobility as drivers of economic diversification, job creation and sustainable development.
The participation of Keyamo comes shortly after his appointment by the African Development Bank as the African Champion for the Integrated Aviation Transformation Programme for Africa (IATP).
His presentation is expected to highlight ongoing reforms in Nigeria’s aviation sector, including airport infrastructure development, airline support systems and stronger integration of air transport with tourism destinations.
Musawa, on her part, is expected to discuss strategies for expanding domestic and international tourism by strengthening transportation networks and promoting Nigeria’s cultural and creative industries.
Her address will also highlight the Federal Government’s Renewed Hope Agenda for economic diversification through tourism and culture.
Describing the summit as Nigeria’s foremost gathering for tourism and transportation stakeholders, Odusanwo said the event would provide a unique opportunity for public and private sector leaders to shape the future of mobility and hospitality in the country.
Activities for the summit will commence with a City Walk on Saturday, July 25, 2026, at the Old Parade Ground, Area 10, Garki, Abuja, ahead of the main conference.
Since receiving approval for its annual hosting, the National Tourism Transportation Summit and Expo has continued to strengthen collaboration between the tourism and transportation sectors, promoting investment, employment generation, inclusive growth and sustainable economic development across Nigeria.
