The Assistant Inspector-General of Police in charge of Zone One Headquarters, Kano, AIG Garba Ahmed, has completed the comprehensive renovation of the Zone One Headquarters, reaffirming his commitment to strengthening police infrastructure and enhancing the welfare and operational capacity of officers and personnel across the Zone.
Speaking on the completion of the project, AIG Ahmed, on behalf of the Inspector-General of Police, IGP Olatunji Rilwan Disu, PSC(+), NPM, expressed profound appreciation to the Chairman of AA Rano Nigeria Limited, Alhaji Auwalu Abdullahi Rano; Alhaji Bashir Tabarakallah; Ghadco/Mamuda Group; POP-Cola Nigeria Limited; the Chairman of Amasco International Limited, Alhaji Mustapha Ado Muhammad; Alhaji Almu Kofar Mata; and other distinguished individuals and corporate organisations whose financial and material contributions made the renovation possible.
The AIG described the intervention as a shining example of patriotism, corporate social responsibility and effective public-private partnership in support of national security.
According to him, the renovated headquarters now provides a modern, functional and conducive working environment that will significantly improve personnel welfare, boost morale and enhance the operational efficiency of the Zone in delivering effective policing services.
He stressed that security remains a collective responsibility and called on governments at all levels, corporate organisations, community leaders and public-spirited Nigerians to continue supporting the Nigeria Police Force through investments in infrastructure, logistics and other critical operational needs that strengthen public safety and national security.
AIG Garba Ahmed further assured that the Zone One Headquarters would ensure proper maintenance of the renovated facility to preserve its standard and functionality.
He noted that the project reflects the reform agenda and vision of the Inspector-General of Police to build a modern, professional and service-driven Police Force capable of effectively responding to the security needs of Nigerians.
