The My Community Friends and Family Affairs Association, a non-governmental organization (NGO) based in Calabar, Cross River State, has paid a sympathy visit to the ailing Triumph Newspapers correspondent in Calabar, Musa Muhammad Kutama, who is currently receiving treatment at the Police Clinic, Calabar.
Kutama was reportedly hospitalized after suffering complications arising from high blood pressure, typhoid fever, and malaria.
Speaking during the visit on behalf of the Association’s Chairman, Alhaji Mustapha Abubakar, Imam Salihu Bashir said the delegation came to express their concern, offer prayers for Kutama’s quick recovery, and provide financial support towards his medical treatment.
“We are here to personally visit and pray for your speedy recovery. We also present this token to assist with your treatment. We pray that Almighty Allah grants you complete healing and restores your health,” he said.
Responding, Kutama expressed gratitude to the association for the visit and support.
“I sincerely appreciate the My Community Friends and Family Affairs Association for finding time to visit me during this difficult period.
“May Almighty Allah bless and reward you all abundantly, grant you safe journeys, and continue to protect you,” he said.
The delegation was led by the Association’s Chairman, Alhaji Mustapha Abubakar, alongside other executive members, including the Vice Chairman, Abdullahi Ita; Secretary, Alhaji Aliyu Aliyu; Assistant Secretary, Abubakar Abdulrazak; Financial Secretary, Alhaji Sha’aibu Shehu; Imam Salihu Bashir; Abdullahi Bukar; and the Discipline and Public Relations Officer, Alhaji Yusuf Abdullahi.
The association also used the occasion to call on youths in the Hausa community of Calabar to remain peaceful, law-abiding, and responsible citizens.
It urged them to shun drug abuse, cultism, and all other forms of criminal and illegal activities.
