Kano State Government is set to host the 45th Federation of Public Service Games (FEPSGA), scheduled to take place from October 6 to 16, 2026, with public servants from various government institutions expected to converge on the state for the sporting event.
This was contained in a statement signed by Rukayya Uba Sulaiman, Director of Public Enlightenment, Office of the Head of Civil Service, Kano State, on September 18, 2026.
The 45th edition of the Federation of Public Service Games is aimed at promoting physical fitness, healthy competition, discipline, teamwork and friendship among public servants, while fostering a healthy and productive workforce.
According to the Office of the Head of Civil Service, the games will provide an opportunity for public servants drawn from different Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs) to interact, build professional relationships and strengthen the spirit of unity and cooperation beyond their official duties.
The event is also expected to bring together public servants from various Federal Government institutions and other participating organisations for a series of sporting activities in an atmosphere of friendship, sportsmanship and healthy competition.
The Kano State Government is expected to use the hosting of the national public service sporting event to showcase the state’s hospitality, rich cultural heritage and capacity to successfully host major national programmes.
The Office of the Head of Civil Service has therefore called on public servants, participating institutions, the media and the general public to support the successful hosting of the games and promote the values of fitness, discipline, teamwork, friendship and excellence associated with FEPSGA.
The Directorate of Public Enlightenment said it would continue to provide the public with verified information and regular updates on the games before and throughout the event.
