The Gombe State Government and the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) have pledged to strengthen security collaboration to protect critical infrastructure, combat vandalism, and safeguard lives and property across the state.
The commitment was made when the newly deployed NSCDC State Commandant, Mohammed Inuwa Usman, mni, paid a courtesy visit to the Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Prof. Ibrahim Abubakar Njodi, at the Government House in Gombe.
The visit followed Usman’s assumption of office and was aimed at strengthening cooperation between the corps and the state government in addressing security challenges.

According to a statement issued by the NSCDC Gombe State Command’s Public Relations Officer, CSC Buhari Sa’ad, the visit formed part of Usman’s efforts to establish working relationships with key government officials and promote closer cooperation on security matters.
Receiving the redeployment letter on behalf of the governor, Njodi welcomed the commandant to the state and assured him of the government’s continued support in carrying out the corps’ statutory responsibilities.
He reaffirmed the government’s commitment to working with the NSCDC and other security agencies to strengthen security operations, respond to emerging threats, and sustain peace and public safety.
