Dr. Baffa Babba Dan’agundi, Director-General of the National Productivity Centre, has called on all members of the Kano State House of Assembly to support Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf, regardless of their political affiliations, in advancing the development of Kano State.
Dan’agundi made the call while commending Governor Yusuf for constructing a new, modern and spacious complex for the Kano State House of Assembly, describing the project as a significant achievement that has enhanced the dignity and status of the legislature.
He noted that the Assembly complex had not witnessed such a major transformation since the administration of former Governor Abubakar Rimi, who originally constructed the building.
According to him, the newly constructed complex represents a significant improvement in the working environment of lawmakers and deserves appreciation from all members of the Assembly, irrespective of their political differences.
Dan’agundi recalled that during his time as a member of the House of Assembly, lawmakers operated under cramped conditions, unlike the improved facilities available to them today.
He explained that each lawmaker now has a personal office and a designated space to receive constituents and attend to their concerns, creating a more conducive environment for effective legislative duties.
The Director-General described Governor Yusuf’s initiative as commendable, stressing that the provision of improved facilities for lawmakers should be viewed as a contribution to the development of the state rather than a partisan achievement.
He therefore urged members of the Kano State House of Assembly to put aside political differences and work together in support of the governor’s development agenda for the overall benefit of Kano State and its residents.
