Three months into his appointment, the Kumbotso Local Government caretaker chairman, Dr. Kabiru Muhammad Zawaciki, has expressed satisfaction with the prevailing peace in the community.
Zawaciki highlighted this achievement alongside a list of accomplishments during his four months in office.
The caretaker chairman, represented by the Director of the LGA Alhaji Umar Muhammad Kabara disclosed this while briefing newsmen of the Kano State Deputy Governor’s office who paid him a visit in the local government secretariat, recently.
He attributed the peaceful atmosphere to his administration’s proactive approach to security and community engagement.
“Since the inception of this reign, I constituted a general meeting with all the security actors in the local government to foster their work.
“To make this happen, we repaired all their vehicles and purchased them computers and printing machines,” he added.
He emphasized open communication channels between the council and residents, fostering a collaborative environment for resolving local issues.
Beyond maintaining peace, Zawaciki pointed to several initiatives undertaken during his short tenure.
These included improvements to potable water, especially in Hausawa and Sheka quarters, infrastructure, investments in educational facilities, and programs to empower local youth.
