The All Progressive Congress (APC) Adamawa State chapter has urged Nigerians to turn back on calls to protest against the President Ahmed Tinubu-led government that is aimed at throwing the country into anarchy.
The call was made following the agitations by some Nigerians over the rising inflation and hardship faced by citizens.
The APC stakeholders equally called on Nigerians to be wary of these people who had first place responsible for Nigeria’s woes urging the youth of such warmongers to remain peaceful, calm and law-abiding as President Tinubu is willing to address the critical challenges facing the country.
The stakeholders meeting held at the party secretariat for the consultation meeting that the party has started to bring all stakeholders on round table discursion as it insisted that dialogue and meditation are the only solutions to Nigeria’s problem not necessary confrontation.
Also speaking during the meeting, Adamawa State chairman of the party, Barr. Idris Shuaibu said President Ahmed Bola Tinubu deserves the support and cooperation of all Nigerians due to the solid reforms he is instituting that will bring some bitter experiences.
The chairman noted that President Ahmed Bola Tinubu deserves to be celebrated for the far-reaching reforms he has started putting in place which will lead to fruition shortly and that some reaching reforms of Tinubu-led administration include local government reforms which have rescued the third tier of government from the grip of state governments.
Shuaibu commended Mr president for the measures checkmating the social insecurity hobbling the nation and resetting the economy such strides will put the nation on a recovery path, alleviate poverty and return power to the people. President Tinibu extends to the state for the appointment of the NSA, minister of education as well as many sons and daughters of Adamawa into important positions in the government, he said.
The state party secretary Dr. Raymond Chidama who spoke against the protest that it would not be in the spirit of the North for its sons to protest against a Southerner who was just a year old into the government when the same people refused to protest against the immediate past government which is responsible for all the socio-political crisis in the country.
He noted that the victory that Tinubu recorded in the last election from the North, was not that northerners loved the president more than the South where he fewersser votes but said the North should not allow itself to be deceived into rebelling against its creation.
The secretary said the president is working round the clock to contain, other areas that he is seriously working to address is the out-of-school syndrome which is prevalent in the North and education in general because the president resolved to tackle the challenges in the education sector, he appointed Adamawa son, Professor Tahir Mamman as the minister of education, he added.
Subsidy removal and the floating of the naira are also inevitable despite their harshness because these policies were the saving grace of the Nigerian economy to save it from imminent collapse.
On his part, the organizing secretary of the party, Mustapha Atiku Ribadu appreciated the fact that the country is wading through serious challenges as a consequence of maladministration and poor leadership adding that addressing these challenges will always be associated with pains. The party has also embarked on a reconciliation drive that very soon APC will bounce back to life and regain its vitality.
Ribadu accused some of spreading false narratives against him in a move to blackmail him and tarnish his hard-earned reputation through frivolous allegations noting that they will be put to shame in no distant future.
