In anticipation of the 2025 Gombe State Inter-Secondary Schools Athletics Competition, the Green White Green Sports Center Ltd has completed the construction of 19 new toilets and renovated 11 existing ones at the competition venues.
This initiative, spearheaded by Hon. Ahmed Shuaibu Gara-Gombe, Chairman and CEO of Green White Green Sports Center Ltd, as well as the Chairman of the Gombe State Athletics Association, is part of the association’s corporate social responsibility.
The project underscores its commitment to creating a hygienic and comfortable environment for athletes and officials throughout the championship.
Speaking on the development, Hon. Ahmed Shuaibu Gara-Gombe stated, “This effort reflects our dedication to providing world-class facilities that support sports development in Gombe State.”
He emphasized that the newly constructed and renovated facilities, totaling 30, are built to meet modern standards, ensuring convenience and promoting a healthier environment for participants and visitors.
The chairman further highlighted that this achievement is a significant step toward fostering sports infrastructure and youth development in the state.
“With this development, it is clear that athletes will enjoy a healthy and conducive environment, which will enhance their performance during the athletics championship,” he added.
The upgraded facilities reflect the association’s vision of elevating sports infrastructure in Gombe State, ensuring that the championship is conducted in an environment befitting its status and fostering a legacy of excellence in youth sports.
