The All Progressive Congress (APC) in the local government elections held on Saturday have been declared winners of all 17 chairmanships and 178 councillorship seats in Yobe.
The Yobe State Chairman of the state Independent Electoral Commission (YOIEC) Dr Mamman Muhammad, announced to newsmen at the commission’s headquarters in Damaturu on Sunday.
The Chairman said APC won all the 17 local government chairmanship seats and the 178 councillorship seats of the state.
He therefore commended the electorate for ensuring that the polls were free and peacefully conducted.
According to him, APC has won all the 17 chairmanship and 178 councillors in the local government elections.”
The Chairman added that the commission had received, considered, validated and adopted the results of each of the 178 councillors of the wards in the state.
