The Nigeria Customs Command and Staff College (NCCSC), Gwagwalada, has graduated 50 officers from Junior Course 21 following a rigorous three-month training designed to enhance middle-level management capacity within the Nigeria Customs Service.

According to a statement issued on Sunday in Abuja, the graduation events began with a regimental dinner on Wednesday, April 30, 2025, and culminated in a formal ceremony on Friday, May 2, at the College’s Ahmad Makarfi Hall.

The Comptroller-General of Customs, Adewale Adeniyi, was represented at both events by Deputy Comptroller-General (DCG) Suleiman Chiroma, who heads the Training and Doctrine Command (TRADOC).

Addressing the graduating officers, DCG Chiroma praised their commitment and perseverance throughout the course. He urged them to uphold the core values of discipline, professionalism, and integrity that underpin the Customs Service.

“The College has equipped you with the knowledge required for higher staff and command responsibilities,” he said. “Your value to the Service and to the nation has been significantly enhanced. You are now better positioned to contribute to our strategic goals.”

Assistant Comptroller-General (ACG) Oluyomi Adebakin, the Commandant of the College, also congratulated the officers. She emphasized the institution’s focus on excellence and discipline.

“The Nigeria Customs Service has made a substantial investment in your development. It is now your duty to maximize this opportunity,” Adebakin said. “The College enforces a strict zero-tolerance policy for indiscipline—mediocrity will not be tolerated.”

The ceremony featured the presentation of certificates and the award of the Passed Junior Staff Course (PJSC) qualification. The graduates expressed appreciation for the training, citing its positive impact on their leadership and operational capabilities.

The newly trained officers are expected to assume critical roles in advancing the mission of the Nigeria Customs Service across various commands and formations nationwide.
