Plateau State Governor, Caleb Mutfwang, has urged the Muslim Ummah to use the occasion of Eid-el-Adha to pray for leaders across all levels of government, asking God to bless them with wisdom, a sense of justice, and deep responsibility.
Mutfwang made the appeal in a goodwill message to mark the Eid-el-Adha celebration, extending warm greetings to Muslims in Plateau State and across the country.
He encouraged the faithful to emulate Prophet Ibrahim’s virtues of sacrifice, obedience, and unwavering faith, which define the essence of the festival.
“Let us use this sacred period to offer fervent prayers for peace and unity in Plateau State and the nation at large,” the governor said.
The governor stressed the importance of interfaith harmony and called for collective responsibility in the quest to build a peaceful and prosperous society.
He said, “I urge the Muslim community to work hand-in-hand with fellow citizens, irrespective of faith or ethnicity, in building a better Plateau where peace and progress can thrive.”
Mutfwang also expressed gratitude for the support shown to his administration so far and reaffirmed his commitment to the peace, security, and welfare of all residents of the state.
“As you mark this significant spiritual event, I urge you to sustain the spirit of prayer and intercession for the continued peace and prosperity of our dear state,” he added.
He congratulated the Muslim community on behalf of his family, the government, and the people of Plateau State, calling on all citizens to join hands with his administration to build a united and resilient Plateau that stands as a model for the rest of the country.
