The Chairman of Fika Local Government Area of Yobe State, Hon. Abdul Bukar Gadaka, has called on all members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Fika to put aside their grievances and unite for the progress of the party and the state.
Speaking with journalists shortly after a meeting in his office today, Gadaka emphasized the need for unity, stating that now more than ever, APC members must work together to support Governor Mai Mala Buni’s efforts in developing the state.
“The purpose of our meeting is to bring all APC political actors in Fika together as one family and to foster unity among the party’s chieftains,” he said.
He further urged party members to remain united as they prepare for the 2027 general elections.
“Let me inform you that Almighty Allah has answered our prayers. As we move toward the 2027 elections, we must remain united and work together,” he added.
Gadaka stressed that party members should focus on the bigger picture—the growth of the APC and the success of the Mai Mala Buni-led administration.
During the meeting, key APC stakeholders in the local government were encouraged to promote peace and work for the party’s success in the upcoming elections.
Gadaka pledged to strengthen the party by fostering unity under the leadership of the state APC chairman, Mohammed Gadaka, to ensure the continued development of Yobe State.
He also acknowledged the presence of dissenting voices within the party, noting that some members believe certain things should be done differently. However, he cautioned that such divisions should not be allowed to persist if the party is to remain focused on fulfilling its promises to the people.
“Let me assure you that I have no personal issues with anyone in Fika Local Government. We are working together as a family. However, I recognize that some members may have grievances with one another. That is why I will initiate a genuine reconciliation process without delay,” Gadaka said.
He assured party members of his commitment to fostering unity and strengthening the APC ahead of the 2027 elections.
