…with N50m ‘Gift of Hope’

In an effort to reduce the economic hardship among the women petty traders in Adamawa state, the wife of President Bola Ahmed Tinibu, Sen. Oluremi Tinibu, has empowered no fewer than 1, 000 beneficiaries to receive N50, 000 to help them overcome challenges and contribute to the national economy.

Sen. Tinubu who was represented by the wife of Vice-President, Hajiya Nana Shettima, presented the funds at the Banquet Hall, Government House in Yola, Adamawa State.

According to Shettima, the the empowerment program for Nigerian women by Sen. Oluremi has presented N50 million to 1, 000 women petty traders in Adamawa state.

She called the N50 million a “Gift of Hope” and urged the beneficiaries to make use of the empowerment judiciously.

While receiving the August visitor, the wife of Adamawa state Governor, Hajiya Lami Fintiri, receives the model cheque for onward distribution to the beneficiaries.

During the ceremony, Hajiya Lami Fintiri and Hajiya Nana Shettima presented N50,000 to 20 beneficiaries.

The state Governor, Ahmadu Fintiri represented by the Chief of Staff, Dr. Edgar Amos, commended the First Lady’s initiative, noting that it aligns with his administration’s support for women’s empowerment.

Hajiya Zainab Nasare Idris, coordinator of Renewed Hope Initiative and wife of Kebbi State Governor, emphasized the importance of assisting women in petty trading due to the current economic situation.

Hajiya Idris thanked the First Lady for her support and urged the beneficiaries to make use of the empowerment accordingly.

The initiative is part of Senator Oluremi Tinubu’s efforts to support women’s economic empowerment and contribute to the national economy.
