The Adamawa State Police Command has deployed its Marine Police Unit to communities ravaged by floods in Yola North Local Government Area of the state.
Commissioner of Police, Dankombo Morris, disclosed this during an assessment visit to flood-affected areas including Limiwa, Rumde, Shinko, and Jambutu. He said the deployment was aimed at supporting rescue efforts and safeguarding victims.
The command, in a statement by its spokesperson, SP Suleman Yahaya Nguroje, noted that the move underscored its commitment to protecting lives and property.
Morris urged residents of the affected areas to remain calm, avoid flooded zones, and prioritize the safety of their families and belongings.

“The Command remains committed to ensuring the safety of all citizens, particularly those affected by the flood disaster,” the commissioner said.
