The Executive Chairman of the Katsina State Universal Basic Education Board, Dr. Kabir Magaji Gafia, has launched his foundation by disbursing N15 million in cash assistance and distributing educational materials to over 600 beneficiaries.
The beneficiaries include vulnerable persons, widows, persons with disabilities, youths, APC members, and students. Speaking at the unveiling ceremony in his hometown, Kaita Local Government Area, Magaji said the foundation was established to support those in need and contribute to the development of the area.
“My foundation was set up in response to the need to assist people and address the challenges facing Kaita Local Government,” he said.
He stated that the foundation would disburse approximately N15 million as financial assistance to beneficiaries.
Additionally, the foundation has commenced the distribution of educational materials to students.
Magaji pledged to sustain the foundation’s activities to help alleviate poverty among the people.
He also commended the Gwagware Foundation for providing N1 million to support his initiative.
Earlier, the Deputy Governor of Katsina State, Faruk Jobe, praised Magaji for establishing the foundation and for the assistance provided to the people. Jobe also highlighted the achievements of Governor Dikko Radda’s administration, stating that the government has fulfilled all its campaign promises.
