“l have directed the State Emergency Management Agency to take stock of the number of shops, traders affected and the estimated value of the loss,” Governor Buni directed.
The governor further consoled the victims: “As faithful, nothing happens to a believer except with the knowledge of our creator” and prayed to Allah (SWT) against future occurrences and to replenish the sad loss.
He called on the people to always take proactive measures against fire outbreaks, especially as the cold harmattan season sets in.
“We have had very sad experiences of fire outbreaks in the past in homes, shops and other places of work; we should adopt measures against fire outbreaks to safeguard lives and property,” the Governor further advised.
He also directed the fire Service department to always be on standby against possible outbreaks given the windy season.
