Kano State Governor Alhaji Abba Kabir Yusuf has donated N2 million to Mu’assasatu Balarabe Bello Hamza Islamic school situated at Sokoto road in the state capital.
He made the donation during Qur’anic Graduation Ceremony of 13 students held at the school premises.
This was contained in an official statement issued and signed by Usman Gwadabe, Director Public Enlightenment, Kano Government House.
The governor who was represented by the commissioner of Education, Ali Haruna Makoda emphasized the importance of learning the Holly Qur’an and applying the knowledge in all aspect of life.
He congratulated the students, teachers and their parents, for achieving this milestone and urged them to expand their knowledge on other fields.
The governor then presented certificates to the 13 graduating students.
On his part, Head Teacher, Mallam Jamilu Yusha’u stated that, the school was named after late Balarabe Bello Hamza who established the school as special extra lesson for children during the school holidays.
He prayed to Almighty Allah to forgive him and reward him for the good work he done for the benefit of the humanity.
In his remarks, Director General of Protocol, Kano Government House, Alhaji Abdullahi Ibrahim Rogo who delivered a vote of thanks on behalf of the parents and school authority appreciated Governor Yusuf for the donations and for his administration’s readiness towards improving educational sector in the state.
