From Muawuya Bala Idris, Katsina

The Chairman of Jibia Local Government Area in Katsina State, Hon. Sirajo Ado Jibia, has sworn in the new Secretary and Supervisory Councillors, warning that anyone who fails to perform will be removed from office.

Speaking during the swearing-in ceremony, Sirajo emphasized that he would personally monitor the performance of the appointees to ensure they align with the vision and mission of his administration.

He cautioned them against using their offices for personal enrichment, reminding them that their primary duty is to serve the people.

“You were appointed to serve the people, not to enrich yourselves with public funds,” he warned. “I will personally monitor your performance, and I advise you to focus on improving the living standards of our people.”

The chairman stressed that the appointments were based on merit, not favoritism, and urged the appointees to serve the interests of the entire local government area, rather than those of any individual or group.

He assured them of his administration’s support and pledged to provide the necessary tools and encouragement to enable them to succeed.

Sirajo also revealed that his council would soon commence the execution of various development projects across the ten wards in the local government area. These projects, he said, will cover critical sectors such as education, healthcare, water supply, and youth empowerment.

He commended the Katsina State Government for its consistent moral and financial support to local councils, which he said has enabled them to carry out their duties effectively.

The chairman concluded by assuring the people of Jibia Local Government of his commitment to delivering good governance and appealed for their continued support and prayers for the success of his administration.
