The National Directorate of Employment (NDE) will commence a training programme for Nigerians in various skills to support them with package to become self-reliant.

Zamfara state coordinator of the directorate, Hajiya Hadiza Hamza Kolo, revealed this to The Triumph Correspondent in Gusau.

She said the programme was part of President Ahmad Bola Tinubu’s agenda to renew hope towards creating youth employment and poverty alleviation to tackle the problems of insecurity across the nation.

She said the special job Creation programme, under the directorate, would train a total of 93,731 people in different professions, adding that it would affect all the categories, including graduates.

The state coordinator further said the training programme would consist of agricultural and entrepreneurial skills training with activities in the public works sector using over 30 different skill sets.

Hadiza Kolo also said the training programme started on the 14th of October and would end by December 31 this year.

The statement reads: “After training, each participant will receive startup capital, equipment or working tools.”

It said other participants would be linked with credit institutions to access loans to commence business.

The statement advised interested persons to register through www.nde.gov.ng or through online with valid email.

It is advised for the use of a passport or national identification number while registering to participate in the training.

Our correspondent reports that a total of 93,731 from 36 states, including Abuja, are expected to participate in the training.
