…as Governor Abba visited victims of the Imawa trailer mishap and other patients

Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf of Kano State on Wednesday evening paid an assessment visit to the Kano Cancer Center, to see the progress recorded in getting the facility running.
The Governor said he where pleased to see the contractors on site making finishing arrangements about installation works.
He maintained that they have mandated the contractors to ensure that the facility is ready for opening within the next 60 days.
“I proceeded to the Muhammadu Buhari Specialist Hospital, which is currently closed due to a litigation dispute between the State Government and the Hospital’s Private Consulting Firm, which we inherited from the previous Governor.
“I hope that we settle all outstanding issues with the firm as soon as possible so that it will be opened for public use.”
Triumph Newspaper reported that the Governor paid an impromptu visit to the Muhammad Abdullahi Wase Hospital to check on the victims of the recent trailer mishap at Imawa Town, and other patients.
The governor also said he was happy to see the staff of the hospital on duty as much as possible the way his administration expected every civil servant to be.
He added that he was equally pleased with the progress of rehabilitation works they are doing in the facility.
Furthermore, the Governor directed the commissioner of works to commence a total renovation of one unit in Abdullahi Wase Hospital in Nasarawa local Government in the heart of the state with immediate effect.
