The Deputy Governor of Kano State, Comrade Aminu Abdussalam Gwarzo, has lauded the management of Aminu Kano College of Islamic and Legal Studies (AKCILS) for preparing to kickstart a degree program in Shari’a and Legal Studies.
Comrade Gwarzo, who also serves as the Commissioner for Higher Education, made the commendation while receiving a delegation led by the Provost of AKCILS, Professor Balarabe Abubakar Jakada, in his office.
The Deputy Governor expressed his gratitude to the delegation for their visit and reaffirmed the state government’s commitment to supporting the development of the college to achieve greater heights.
Speaking during the visit, Professor Jakada noted that the purpose of the delegation was to thank the Deputy Governor for his support and to appreciate his participation in the recently concluded Maiden National Congress Meeting of the AKCILS Alumni Association and its accompanying fundraising event held at the college.
The Provost also briefed the Deputy Governor on the college’s readiness to commence its degree programs in Shari’a and Legal Studies, highlighting the significance of this milestone for the institution’s growth and academic excellence.
Professor Jakada further expressed his profound gratitude for the Deputy Governor’s continuous support and emphasized the college’s commitment to its vision for the future.
He assured that the management would work tirelessly to ensure the institution makes meaningful contributions to education and society.
Recall that the Deputy Governor and State Commissioner for Higher Education were in attendance at the Maiden National Congress Meeting and Fundraising Event organized by the AKCILS Alumni Association.
