Katsina government, in collaboration with 34 local government councils,s, has renovated and equipped 102 Primary Health Centers.

The Chairman of Bindawa Local government areas, Badaru Musa Giremawa and Treasurer of ALGON revealed this to newsmen.

Giremawa said the renovation and equipping cost about ₦10 billion. He said the project was part of an effort to provide affordable and efficient health services to the people in rural areas.

He further said the councils, in collaboration with the State government, executed projects in the areas of provision of water, construction of new schools and renovation of existing ones, and construction of drainages, among others.

He commended the state government for the timely release of the funds to the local government Council in the State.

“Government ensure timely release of fund to us, we are enjoying financial autonomy even before the verdict of the Supreme court,” he added.

Giremawa, while assessing the insecurity situation in the state, commended Governor Radda for taking steps to address the problem.

He said the steps taken have minimised cases of attack by bandits on Communities.

He called on people to continue to work with security personnel in the area to provide them with information on the activities of bandits.
