The National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) has allocated 3,867 Hajj seats to Katsina State for the 2025 pilgrimage season, according to a press statement issued by Badaru Bello, Public Relations Officer of the Katsina State Pilgrims Welfare Board.
The statement signifies the commencement of registration for interested pilgrims in the state.
It further announces that Governor Umar Dikko Radda has approved a minimum deposit of N8.4 million per intending pilgrim.
Prospective pilgrims are advised to note that the deposit payment deadline is set for December 2024. Importantly, the statement emphasizes that all payments must be made through certified bank drafts at any commercial bank.
This news comes as a welcome development for Katsina residents hoping to participate in the 2025 Hajj pilgrimage.
With over 3,800 allocated slots, the state Pilgrims Welfare Board is expected to receive a significant number of registrations in the coming months.
