Katsina State Community and Social Development Agency (CSDA)has concluded arrangements for the conduct of the Participatory Rural Appraisal (PRA) in 65 communities across the State.
The PRA was a needs analysis format of prioritising the micro-projects to be executed in the benefitting communities.
The officials of the Community Project Management Committees (CPMCs) were also elected during the PRA exercise by the members of the communities as the micro-projects were executed under the Community Driven Development (CDD) approach.
Shedding more light on the exercise, the General Manager of Katsina State Community and Social Development Agency (CSDA), Alhaji Muhammad Dikko Abdul’aziz, explained that the micro-projects to be executed were under the KT-CARES Programme.
According to the General Manager, this was the fourth cycle of such kind of intervention towards the execution of micro projects under the KT-CARES Programme.
Abdul’aziz said in the previous cycles many communities had benefitted from various micro projects in all the 34 LGAs of the State.
He said the micro-projects included that of health, education, nutrition, environment, water and sanitation.
The General Manager commended the Executive Governor of the State, Malam Dikko Umar Radda (Ph.D), for releasing funds to the Agency in good time towards the implementation of the fourth cycle of the KT-CARES Programme in the State.
While charging the technical staff of the Agency to put more effort towards discharging their assigned responsibilities, Alhaji Dikko Abdul’aziz also called on the benefitting communities to give the staff of the Agency all necessary support and cooperation towards the conduct of the forthcoming PRA.
